Rules and Regulations on the use of Basketball Court

RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE USE OF THE

BEL-AIR VILLAGE ASSOCIATION PARK 2 BASKETBALL COURT


(Effective 20 July 2022)



1. Residents, immediate dependents of residents, Association and Barangay Bel-Air staff and household helps (drivers, houseboys, gardener, personal messengers, maintenance) with valid BAVA IDs, may be allowed to use the Basketball court for basketball games anytime for FREE, if the court is not reserved, on a first come, first served basis. The free use shall be limited to a maximum of 30 minutes playing time in the event other residents are waiting for their tun to play on half court only. The free use can be renewed every thirty (30) minutes if there are no residents waiting to play or if it is not reserved by another resident.


Two or more residents may pool their playing time for the use of the full court for a maximum time limit of one (1) hour.


Household help are not allowed to bring in guests to play basketball with them. Outsiders, construction workers and employees of Commercial establishment are also not allowed to use the basketball court.


2. Residents must be updated on the payment of Association dues.


3. A reservation cancelled due to force majeure or cancellation made by the BAVA office shall not be refunded, but shall be applied to a re-scheduled time. Cancellation of reservations may be undertaken by the BAVA office provided at least three (3) days notice is given to the parties concerned except for nay reservation which is made one (1) day in advance.


4. Only tournaments sponsored by BAVA or the Barangay Bel-Air are allowed. Reservation for tournaments is subject to Board approval on case-to-case basis.


5. Players must bring and use their own Sports equipment and the BAVA shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to any equipment or personal effects.


6. Any damage to the court facilities (example: Net, Ring, Court Covers or Floor) will be shouldered by the last group who played if find that the damage were not “wear and tear”.


7. Residents must accompany their guests and should be responsible for the behavior of their guests and must respect the well-being of other persons using the facilities. Loud and abusive language, unruly, rowdy or discourteous behavior and fighting or other violent acts shall not be allowed.


8. Improperly attired individuals such as those without shirt, bare feet, wearing slippers, sandals, leather shoes, and other non-athletic footwear shall not be allowed in the playing area. Only non-marking rubber shoes shall be allowed in the basketball court.


9. Smoking, eating, the consumption of alcoholic drinks, use of prohibited drugs of any kind, gambling is strictly prohibited in the basketball court.


10. BAVA personnel shall have the right to prohibit any person from playing in the basketball court in its sole and absolute discretion.


11. BAVA shall not be liable for any injury to or loss of property of any person utilizing the basketball court.


12. Strictly follow the maximum health protocols like wearing masks when not playing/sitting on the benches.


13. BAVA at its sole discretion, may cancel the reservation, suspend or ban from using the Basketball court for the following reasons:


a. Fails to follow the Park 2 basketball court rules and regulations

b. Willfully causes damage to the Basketball court facilities

c. Misrepresents himself/herself in order to use the court
